Financial Advisor

Tim’s career in financial planning began at a young age, when he began spending summers interning with his father.  After a few summers he knew that helping others with their financial problems was what he wanted to do.

In 2001 he joined his father at Citigroup Smith Barney.  During his 8 years there he sharpened his financial planning skills by studying for and passing his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Board exam, spent time at the Wharton School of Business earning his Certified Investment Management Analysts and putting together financial plans for high net worth clients with a minimum of 5 million in investable assets.

In 2009 him and his father decided they had enough of Wall Street and desired to serve their clients better.  They decided to go independent with Raymond James and start McNeely Financial Strategies LLC - An Independent Firm.

Being the planner that he is, Tim put together a financial plan for himself and soon to be wife, Dana Yeoman D.D.S.  He was amazed and fascinated at the level of complexity dentists face in their financial lives.  Based on the suggestion of Dr. Yeoman's practice consultant, he decided to specialize in holistic financial planning for dentists.

As a CFP® and CIMA® Practitioner Tim helps dentists take advantage of strategies and that help minimize the taxes and risk that dental practitioners face.  He has developed a unique Digital Financial Planning™ Process for dentists that starts with a Digital Financial X-Ray™, Followed by a Digital Financial Treatment Plan™ and then an ongoing series of Financial Check-Up™

He has been recognized as one of the “Best Financial Advisors for Dentists” by Dental Products Report in both 2013 and 2014*

Tim is happily married to his wife Dana.  Since getting married on New Years Eve 2010 their family has grown to include two cats named Caddie & Wompus.  They also have adopted a standard poodle named Birdie Bordeaux that is currently employed at Second Smile Denture Care as a therapy dog.  They enjoy exploring California, discovering great wines, and spending time together.  Tim and Dana are involved in their local church, have a heart for educating young women through Compassion International, and share a love for global mission and long for the day that Jesus returns.

*Dental Practice Report subjected each applicant to a rigorous and extensive screening process, checking each entrant against the databases of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority to make sure all those selected had clean records with these regulatory bodies. The survey also covered credentials, educational background, experience, size of firm, minimum portfolio requirements and noteworthy professional achievements.
